Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the separate provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. A message sent to us is limited to the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site receives basic server-log information such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of visit. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the reference, address technical problems, count general traffic, and improve the material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when required by valid legal process.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website keeps.
